What is Applied Behaviour Analysis?
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a facet of psychology that examines behaviour. ABA uses systematic teaching that studies interactions between behaviour and the environment in order to increase desirable behaviour and decrease undesirable behaviour. ABA considers behaviour in terms of antecedents (what happens immediately before the behaviour) and consequences (what happens immediately after the behaviour) to influence the likelihood of that behaviour happening again. Atlas Behaviour Consultation uses systematic teaching methods including individualized instruction and data collection, positive reinforcement, and ongoing assessment in its teaching methods.
